India registered its first case of coronavirus in January this year. Since then, 3,666 cases of coronavirus have been reported. Out of these 292 people have been cured. However, 109 people have died so far. Right now, the number of infected people is increasing rapidly. Maharashtra so far has the most amount of cases following are Tamil Nadu and Delhi. Other states like Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka are also more affected by the virus. However, there are still some corners of the country which are untouched by the deadly virus. These include four northeastern states and two union territories.

4 Northeastern States Safe From Coronavirus
Not a single coronavirus case has been registered in Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura and Meghalaya in Northeast India. Twenty-six coronavirus patients have been seen in Assam while only 2 in Manipur, one each in Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh have COVID-19 cases. Besides, no coronavirus cases have been seen so far in the Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu as well as Lakshadweep. According to data released by the Ministry of Health, the number of cases of coronavirus in the country increased to 3,666 as of Monday. The number of active cases in India is 3,265.
Maximum Cases in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Delhi
According to the Ministry of Health, Maharashtra has so far reported the highest number of COVD-19 cases with 690 cases. Out of these, 42 people have been cured, while 45 people have died. The state with the second-highest number of cases in Tamil Nadu, where the number of infected is 571, of which 8 have been cured, and 5 have died. Apart from this, 503 cases have been reported so far in the national capital, of which 18 have been cured, and 7 have died. According to the Ministry of Health, in many states including Tamil Nadu, Delhi and UP, the sudden increase in the number of corona patients is due to the Tablighi Jamaat group. However, the government has formulated a plan to control coronavirus, as the risk of transmission is high in several states.

The Union Health Ministry has said in a 20-page strategy document that community-wide spread is seen in several states, especially Kerala, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Karnataka, Telangana and Ladakh. Till now COVID-19 cases are being seen in 211 districts, and the risk of further spread is very high.
